I am a soccer aficionado, and a huge Real Madrid fan. I grew up in Madrid, Spain watching games every weekend with my grandfather, father and brother. There was nothing better than watching the games and listening to them commentate, argue, yell and let the passion of the game take us. After moving to the states I continued to watch any game they aired on TV and let me tell you in the mid 90's there weren't that many on US TV. So I have decided to start this blog to allow a forum for me to express my thoughts as to what is happening in the game and so anyone that wants to agree, yell or anything else can do so.
For all that dont know I choose the name Fondo Sur, because in the Bernabeu and in most soccer stadiums around the world the south end or fondo sur is a place for the die hard fans to show there emotions and love for the team and game. I would like this to be a similar place. Anything you have to say feel free.

all the teams which are financially stlbae and the teams that have the most money tend to be the best teams, but there could be hope. Portsmouth last year, i know that their players were still quite overpaid compared to many other temas but it must be said that in the premier league they were kinda cheap. But i watched all their games last season and the majority of them they played with passion. Watching them made me think wow, thank god there are still some honest players out there. I know they went on to lose everything but it must be said that even when they lost, they played like winners.-Kinda corny, i know:)
